Ingredients

  • 1/2 - 3/4 Grapefruit

  • 2 Passion Fruits

  • 3-4 Basil Leaves

  • 2 tbsp. Agave Nectar

  • 1 Medjool Date

  • 1 cup Yoghurt (non-fat or Greek Yoghurt)

  • pinch of Sea Salt

  • 6-8 Ice Cubes, you can add more to get the desired thickness!

Directions

  • Prepare the fruit: Carefully cut the grapefruit, ensuring to remove the bitter white pith from the pulp, scoop out the pulp of the passion fruit.

  • Place all the prepared fruit in a blender, however, begin by adding only half of the grapefruit to the blender. This gradual incorporation ensures a balanced flavor without overpowering the other ingredients.

  • Add the basil leaves, agave nectar, pitted date, and plain yogurt to the blender.

  • Add a pinch of sea salt and a few ice cubes for a thicker and colder smoothie.

  • Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more yogurt or a splash of water if needed.

  • After starting with half a grapefruit, continue by adding small, cut pieces of grapefruit to the blender. Adjust the amount until you achieve the perfect balance of flavors in your Grapefruit Passion Basil Smoothie.
